Delta Ports Mormugao Terminal Private Ltd (DMTPL), the Public-Private Partnership operator at Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), Goa, has set a new record by loading 30,581 metric tonnes of iron ore pellets in just 24 hours. The cargo was loaded onto the vessel MV Vishva Chetna at Berth No. X, which berthed on the evening of June 16. The vessel is set to load a total of 67,500 MT of iron ore pellets for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Private Limited (MRPPL).

This milestone marks the highest single-day loading of iron ore pellets ever recorded at the port. It reflects the high level of coordination and efficiency between the DMTPL and MPA teams.

MPA Chairman Dr. N. Vimodkumar lauded the achievement, calling it a strong demonstration of the port’s operational capabilities and its growing role as a major hub for iron ore exports.

The performance sets a new benchmark in cargo handling at Mormugao Port and underlines the terminal’s readiness to meet the increasing demands of global trade.
