DP World and Al Dahra have entered into a strategic partnership to develop an integrated agricultural logistics network across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, aiming to strengthen food supply chains and improve distribution efficiency for agri-commodities.
The collaboration is expected to combine DP World’s global ports and logistics infrastructure with Al Dahra’s expertise in agribusiness and food supply operations. The initiative will focus on enhancing storage, transportation, and distribution capabilities for essential agricultural products across key GCC markets.
Industry sources said the partnership is designed to improve food security in the region by reducing supply chain bottlenecks and ensuring more reliable movement of grains, animal feed, fruits, and vegetables. The network is also expected to support faster movement of goods between production hubs and consumption centres.
Logistics experts noted that the initiative aligns with broader regional efforts to diversify supply chains and invest in resilient infrastructure. The GCC’s growing focus on food security and trade efficiency is expected to drive further investments in integrated agri-logistics systems in the coming years.
