In May, Hapag-Loyd established West Africa Service 1 (WA1) with new port calls in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

From 4 September, the German carrier has announced the change of its service frequency to weekly calls. Additionally, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce two more ports of call, while it will deploy two additional vessels on the rotation.

“We are excited to introduce Banjul, Gambia and San Pedro, Ivory Coast as new markets and port additions to open further opportunities for your cargo planning,” said the Hamburg-based company in a statement.

The updated port rotation of the service will be Tanger Med, MA -> Nouakchott, MR -> Conakry, GN -> Freetown, SL -> Monrovia, LR -> San Pedro, CI -> Banjul, GM -> Tanger Med, MA
