In a major boost to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has successfully executed a landmark logistics operation by transporting an export-loaded container of AMUL Ghee to Sharjah Port under its own container fleet. This marks a significant stride in India’s journey towards self-reliant and globally competitive logistics infrastructure.

The shipment, handled entirely through CONCOR’s in-house shipping initiative, demonstrates the growing synergy between Indian manufacturing and Indian-managed logistics. It signifies not only the operational readiness of India’s logistics sector but also its ability to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions with indigenous resources.

“This milestone is more than just a logistics success; it reflects India’s strengthening position in global trade by building a fully self-reliant supply chain ecosystem,” said a CONCOR spokesperson. “It is a proud example of capability, collaboration, and commitment to the national mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

This initiative was undertaken with the support of key stakeholders including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, DFCCIL, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), and other industry leaders such as Maersk and CMA CGM Group.

As India continues to modernize its trade and transport systems, this achievement sets a strong precedent for future initiatives, emphasizing indigenous innovation and infrastructure development in the logistics sector.
