The Government of India has announced a six-month extension of the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme, providing continued support to exporters amid evolving global trade conditions.
In a notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the scheme will remain in force from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
The extension ensures that all eligible export products will continue to receive RoDTEP benefits during this period. Importantly, the existing rates and value caps, as notified under Appendices 4R and 4RE, will remain unchanged.
The government clarified that all other terms and conditions of the scheme will also continue without modification. As a result, exporters making shipments between April and September 2026 will be entitled to benefits at the same rates applicable as of March 31, 2026.
The move is expected to provide policy continuity and financial predictability to exporters, particularly in sectors sensitive to input tax costs and global competitiveness.
