Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) Southeast Asia and Oceania has spotlighted its next-generation LNG-fueled car carrier Tourmaline Ace during her recent port call in Singapore, highlighting the company’s continued push toward sustainable maritime transport.

Captured against Singapore’s iconic skyline, the vessel belongs to MOL’s newest “Blue Series” of environmentally advanced car carriers. Designed with sustainability at the forefront, Tourmaline Ace is primarily powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supporting cleaner shipping operations.

The vessel is part of MOL’s larger orderbook of LNG-fueled Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs), each capable of carrying up to 7,000 vehicles. According to the company, a total of 11 such vessels are scheduled for progressive delivery between 2024 and 2026.

In addition to cleaner propulsion technology, the new generation fleet introduces a refreshed hull design and distinctive visual identity, symbolizing MOL’s evolving commitment to greener and more efficient global shipping.

MOL also released immersive 360-degree footage of Tourmaline Ace, offering a detailed look at the vessel’s modern design and operational presence during her Singapore call.
