    CGST Kutch Commissionerate in association with the Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCC&I) and the Federation of Kutch Industries Associations (FOKIA), Bhuj, organized an interactive session on highlights of Union Budget 2024-25.

    On this occasion, the Commissioner of CGST Kutch spoke about the achievements of the Kutch Commissionerate during the last seven years including highest ever Annual GST revenue collection of Rs. 3,082 Crores for FY 2023-24, demonstrating a growth rate of 14.37% over and above the cumulative growth rate of 51% and absolute growth of Rs. 1150 Crores achieved in the last three Financial Years.

    Additionally, the Commissioner announced that the CGST Kutch Commissionerate achieved the second-highest GST revenue collection of Rs. 359 Crores for June 2024. This represents an impressive growth of Rs. 138 Crores, a 62% increase, surpassing the 51% cumulative growth achieved over the previous three financial years. As a result, CGST Kutch has risen to the top position among the 107 CGST Commissionerates across the country. CGST Kutch has currently been progressing at a growth rate of 29% in the first quarter of the current Financial Year.

    Commissioner has also informed the gathering that the monthly average revenue which used to be Rs. 160 Crores, three Financial years back to Rs. 327 Crores, in the current Financial year till July 2024 i.e. more than a 100% increase. Commissioner has also highlighted another important achievement of a substantial No. of more than 9,000 long pending SCNs out of 10,000 Notices issued. He also updated us about the trade facilitation measures introduced by the Government in the last GST council meeting like waiver of interest and penalty in cases of notices issued under Section 73 of the CGST Act 2017; extending the time limit for availing ITC under Section 16(4) of the CGST Act, 2017 for the period July 2017 to March 2021; reduction in pre-deposit for filing of appeal before Commissioner and Additional/Joint Commissioner (Appeals).

    Commissioner has also dwelt upon several trade-friendly measures initiated locally by organizing 25 outreach programs with the participation of trade and industry actively, to ensure that the steps taken by the Government to enhance ease of doing business, are conveyed to the trade and industry till the last mile.

    Commissioner has also highlighted activities taken up under the Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan like the Plantation of trees to extend greenery at Gandhidham and Dholavira also and the implementation of various projects by the construction of several toilets and urinals, providing water purification systems, Water coolers/ dispensers, dustbins at various schools and Health Care Centers.

    Moreover, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the CGST Kutch Commissionerate team demonstrated their unwavering commitment to public service and societal well-being by planting 370 plants and providing tree guards with drip irrigation kits at the Army cantonment in Gandhidham.

    Following the programs, a question-and-answer session was held where a variety of queries were raised and addressed. The events were a resounding success, with more than 250 representatives from Trade and Industry in attendance.
