    The vessel V DARYA RAMA has successfully berthed at Deendayal Port, Kandla, carrying a major consignment of 146,091 pieces of JAS New Zealand Pine Logs, weighing 43,941.523 metric tonnes, for Pacific Forest Products (PFP).

    Discharge operations are currently underway, with the cargo being handled efficiently using specialized breakbulk cargo handling practices. The port is ensuring precision in operations while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, highlighting its capability in managing large-scale timber imports.

    The arrival of the substantial pine log shipment reinforces Deendayal Port’s position as one of India’s leading gateways for timber imports and specialized breakbulk cargo. The port has developed significant expertise in handling forest products, supported by efficient infrastructure and streamlined cargo operations that facilitate faster vessel turnaround and cargo evacuation.

    The consignment of JAS New Zealand Pine Logs, widely used in the construction, furniture, plywood, packaging and wood-processing industries, will support the growing demand for quality timber in the domestic market.
