The delivery and christening of WILSON ECO V marks a significant milestone in a rapid-paced shipbuilding program, with seven vessels delivered within just 358 days.

Built as part of Conoship International’s next-generation coaster series for Wilson ASA, the vessel is the fifth in a line of energy-efficient general cargo ships designed for both inland and coastal operations. With a cargo hold capacity of 5,590 cubic metres, WILSON ECO V reflects a strong emphasis on sustainability and operational efficiency.

The ECO series features a highly efficient diesel-electric propulsion system, delivering best-in-class fuel consumption while also being prepared for future wind-assisted propulsion technologies. Notably, the vessel already performs well below the energy efficiency benchmarks set by the International Maritime Organization for 2025.

The latest delivery builds on the momentum that began with WILSON ECO I in April 2025, underscoring the shipyard’s ability to execute complex projects within tight timelines. Alongside the ECO series, the yard has also delivered two tugs for Ocean Sparkle Limited during the same period.

Wilson ASA’s broader newbuilding program includes six 3,800 DWT vessels and eight 6,300 DWT vessels, with deliveries scheduled to continue through 2028, reinforcing its commitment to a modern, environmentally responsible fleet.
