The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) welcomed Shri Sameer Kumar Khare, IAS (Retd.), Chairperson of the National Shipping Board, on 4 December 2025 for a strategic meeting focused on accelerating reforms within India’s EXIM logistics ecosystem.

During the interaction, senior representatives discussed key elements critical to modernizing the logistics sector, including end-to-end digitalization, enhancing transparency, and establishing defined timelines for processes involving multiple EXIM stakeholders. These measures are expected to significantly improve ease of doing business and reduce bottlenecks across the supply chain.

FFFAI lauded the Directorate General of Shipping and the National Shipping Board for their forward-looking and collaborative approach toward systemic improvements.

Reaffirming its commitment, FFFAI stated that it will continue to play an active role in supporting the Honourable Prime Minister’s National Logistics Policy, ensuring that trade facilitation, efficiency, and competitiveness remain at the forefront of India’s logistics reforms.
