Mahindra Logistics is set to significantly expand its presence in the premium electric mobility segment in Delhi-NCR, leveraging its role as the official taxi partner of Noida International Airport. Passengers arriving at the newly operational airport are now being served by a fleet of around 70 Mahindra XUV400 electric vehicles operated through the company’s Alyte mobility platform.

Following the launch of commercial operations at Noida International Airport earlier this month, Mahindra Logistics commenced airport taxi services on June 15 under its Alyte brand. The company plans to increase its fleet and network five-fold during FY27, expanding from approximately 70 vehicles currently operating across Delhi and Noida to nearly 350 vehicles, with around 280 additional EVs expected to be added over the next year.

The expansion represents Mahindra Logistics’ most ambitious move into consumer mobility and comes at a time when Delhi-NCR is emerging as a key battleground for premium electric transportation services. Alyte Privé, launched in Delhi in August 2025, offers airport transfers with guaranteed rides, trained chauffeurs, fixed pricing, zero cancellations and a fully electric fleet tailored for business and leisure travellers.

The company said it will pursue a phased growth strategy, prioritising customer experience and operational reliability before entering additional cities over the next two to three years. As passenger traffic at Noida International Airport increases, Mahindra Logistics plans to steadily scale its airport mobility services.

The premium EV mobility market in Delhi-NCR is witnessing heightened competition. Operators are seeking to capitalise on growing demand for reliable airport transfers and urban transportation, particularly following the opening of Noida International Airport and the exit of BluSmart from the market.

Among the notable entrants is Green SM, backed by Vietnam’s Vingroup and EV manufacturer VinFast. The company is deploying a fleet of 1,000 company-owned electric vehicles, including the VinFast VF 5 and Limo Green MPV, across Delhi-NCR. Similar to Alyte, Green SM is adopting an asset-heavy model featuring company-owned vehicles, employee drivers and fixed pricing to ensure a consistent customer experience.

Start-up players are also entering the segment. Gurugram-based EV mobility platform Trevel recently secured $1 million in funding from investors including India Accelerator, Finvolve and the Haldiram Family Office. The company currently operates more than 50 premium EVs and aims to expand its fleet to 500 vehicles by March 2027, serving airport transfers, city rides and rental services.

Industry observers note that airport transportation has emerged as one of the most attractive applications for electric mobility due to predictable travel patterns, easier charging management, high vehicle utilisation and a customer base willing to pay a premium for dependable service.

Beyond airport mobility, the EV ecosystem is also expanding into corporate transportation. Companies such as Refex Green Mobility have established dedicated electric fleets serving multinational corporations, technology parks and airlines through employee transportation contracts.

Mahindra Logistics views Alyte as more than an airport taxi operation. The platform serves as a consumer-facing mobility brand while also creating a commercial deployment channel for Mahindra’s electric vehicle portfolio. Alyte currently operates through two service categories: Alyte Privé for premium electric mobility and Alyte Select, which manages airport taxi services across major airports including Mumbai, Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune.

As new fleets enter service and Noida International Airport continues to scale up operations, Delhi-NCR is rapidly emerging as India’s most competitive market for premium electric mobility. The success of operators in this evolving sector will depend not only on fleet expansion but also on their ability to deliver reliable, high-quality and sustainable transportation experiences.
