JSW Group is set to transform JSW Infrastructure into a comprehensive logistics solutions provider, according to Chairman Sajjan Jindal at the company’s 18th annual general meeting on Tuesday.

“India’s economy is expanding and is on track to reach $10 trillion. With its diverse regions, the logistics industry needs more large private sector companies to provide last-mile connectivity solutions,” Jindal said.

The acquisition of Navkar Corporation, which owns container freight stations and inland container depot facilities in key locations, supports JSW Infrastructure’s strategy to establish a nationwide network. This acquisition also provides access to extensive land resources within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Gujarat for further development, Jindal noted.

Additionally, JSW Infrastructure is constructing a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal in Chennai. “The company will continue to work on projects to build and scale a pan-India network, delivering unmatched efficiency in the logistics sector,” Jindal added.

JSW Infrastructure aims to increase its cargo handling capacity by 2.4 times, reaching 400 MTPA by FY2030 from the current 170 MTPA. This growth plan includes privatization bids for terminals and berths in major ports and other inorganic opportunities in port-related infrastructure, Jindal stated.

Over the last 20 years, JSW Infrastructure has expanded its operational capacity to 170 MTPA through organic and inorganic growth, leveraging its strengths and execution expertise.

In FY2024, JSW Infrastructure reported a 20% revenue increase to Rs 4,032 crore, a 24% rise in EBITDA to Rs 2,234 crore, and a 55% increase in net profit to Rs 1,161 crore.

“Today, JSW Infrastructure is India’s second-largest commercial port operator with a handling capacity of 170 MTPA across 10 ports and terminals on the eastern and western coasts. With concession agreements of 11.5 MTPA signed, the total capacity is 181.5 MTPA. Internationally, we operate a liquid tank storage terminal of 465,000 cubic meters in Fujairah, UAE, and manage two large bulk terminals owned by the Port of Fujairah,” Jindal said.
