Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has marked a major milestone in its logistics expansion with the grand launch of the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Malur near Bengaluru, reinforcing its commitment to seamless, end-to-end trade connectivity in South India.
The inauguration of Adani ICD Malur was celebrated in the presence of over 250 customers and logistics partners, underscoring strong industry confidence in the facility’s strategic importance.
Strategically located along the Bengaluru–Chennai railway main line near Malur station, the ICD is equipped with its own rail siding and direct road connectivity via NE7 and NH44, enabling efficient multimodal cargo movement. The facility offers robust port linkages with Adani Kattupalli, Ennore, Vizhinjam, Chennai and JNPT, significantly enhancing export-import efficiency for regional industries.
Spread across 30 acres, with an additional 21 acres earmarked for future expansion, ICD Malur features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including advanced Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and Gate Operating Systems (GOS), real-time control towers, integrated warehousing solutions and on-site customs clearance, positioning it as a future-ready logistics hub.
The depot’s proximity to Karnataka’s key industrial clusters and its accessibility to the neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu provide a strong competitive advantage for manufacturers, exporters and importers across sectors.
With the commissioning of ICD Malur, Adani Ports and SEZ further strengthens its pan-India logistics network, reinforcing its vision of port-to-factory gate connectivity across 11,000 km of coastline and 95 per cent hinterland coverage, while adding another strategic asset to its growing inland logistics footprint.
