Camex Airlines has expanded into widebody operations with the delivery of a Boeing 767-300 converted freighter from ATSG-owned lessor Airborne Global Leasing.
Until now, the Tbilisi-based airline’s fleet has operated a fleet of three narrowbody Boeing 737-800BCFs.
And the carrier has plans to further expand its widebody fleet with delivery of a second 767-300F from Airborne in 2025 under a separate lease agreement.
Founded in 2022, Camex Airlines offers chartered airfreight services from two main hubs, one in Slovenia and the other in Georgia.
“Our partnership with ATSG, the leader in freighter aircraft leasing, significantly enhances our capabilities and reach,” said Ketevan Sabashvili, head of administration at Camex. “We are proud to offer expanded airfreight solutions to our customers throughout the region with the addition of the Boeing 767-300 platform.”
Todd France, chief commercial officer of ATSG, added: “The delivery of this freighter brings our total number of externally leased aircraft around the world to 90 and further demonstrates the attractiveness of our Lease+Plus package, through which we can supply our customers with access to multiple services that complement the lease.”
Camex Airlines is owned by freight forwarder Camex International, which has been operating for over 12 years as a freight forwarder across CIS, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Europe and the US.
