Greta Shipping and Hapag-Lloyd have renewed their cooperation on India–Middle East shipping services, strengthening connectivity between Indian ports and key Gulf trade hubs amid rising cargo demand across the region.

The renewed collaboration is expected to enhance service coverage, sailing frequency and cargo handling efficiency on routes linking India with major Middle East destinations. Industry sources said the partnership will support growing trade volumes in sectors such as consumer goods, engineering products, chemicals, food items and project cargo.

The move comes at a time when container lines are adjusting regional networks to improve schedule reliability and respond to shifting trade patterns caused by geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions in West Asia. Shipping companies are also seeking to provide more flexible routing options for exporters and importers operating in the India–Gulf corridor.

Market analysts said the India–Middle East trade lane continues to witness strong momentum driven by expanding bilateral trade, energy shipments and increasing transshipment activity through Gulf ports. The renewed cooperation between the two carriers is expected to further strengthen maritime connectivity and support faster cargo movement between the regions.
