Jindal Global Business School, the business school of O.P. Jindal Global University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Skyways Air Services Ltd. through its training arm MyLogistics Gurukul, marking a significant step toward strengthening industry integration in management education and logistics training.
The partnership aims to provide JGBS students with practical exposure to India’s rapidly growing logistics and supply chain sector through structured internships, facility visits, industry-led sessions, live projects, and certified training modules. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Skill India Mission by equipping students with industry-relevant and employable skills.
Skyways Air Services, recognised as India’s leading air freight forwarder and among the world’s top 50 air freight companies, offers integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions across air, ocean, road, express, and warehousing services.
Under the agreement, students will gain hands-on exposure to Skyways’ operational ecosystem, including visits to warehousing facilities and freight hubs, while interacting directly with senior logistics professionals. The collaboration will also focus on knowledge partnerships for courses in supply chain and logistics, guest lectures, and joint research initiatives between Skyways professionals and JGBS faculty.
Commenting on the collaboration, Yashpal Sharma, CMD of Skyways Air Services, said the partnership would help nurture future-ready logistics talent capable of supporting India’s ambitions in global trade, e-commerce, and supply chain competitiveness.
“We are delighted to partner with JGBS, who has been contributing immensely to the academic world and bringing great talent to the Indian workforce. Together, we aim to nurture talent that will propel Indian logistics as an engine of economic vitality,” Sharma said.
Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University, said the university remains committed to creating meaningful industry partnerships that help students understand real-world business challenges and improve employability.
He noted that JGBS has been actively forging collaborations with leading industry players to ensure students graduate with both academic excellence and practical exposure.
JGBS Dean Professor (Dr.) Mayank Dhaundiyal said the partnership would provide students an opportunity to work on real business challenges faced by logistics companies while complementing classroom learning through simulations, case studies, and experiential activities.
“With this collaboration, our students will experience the logistics sector first-hand and engage with actual problem statements that companies like Skyways are solving today,” he said.
The partnership is expected to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enabling students to apply concepts such as supply chain strategy, operations management, and optimisation in real business environments while enhancing their industry readiness.
