Lufthansa Cargo has launched its Summer 2026 flight schedule, significantly expanding its global air freight network with 87 weekly freighter flights connecting up to 35 destinations worldwide. The new schedule, effective from March 29, 2026, is designed to strengthen supply chain reliability and provide greater flexibility for cargo customers amid evolving global trade patterns.
The carrier will deploy its fleet of 18 Boeing 777 freighters across key international markets, with Asia continuing to remain a strategic focus. Lufthansa Cargo plans to operate up to 48 weekly connections to 17 Asian destinations, including enhanced transpacific services linking Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, and Los Angeles. The airline has also reintroduced Delhi into its freighter network with one weekly service, increasing its India connectivity to six weekly flights.
In the Americas, the cargo airline will offer 33 weekly connections covering 15 destinations across North and South America, including additional frequencies to Toronto. Meanwhile, its Airbus A321 freighters will continue serving intra-European and African routes, including Rome and Algiers, supporting 33 regional cargo connections.
A major highlight of the Summer 2026 schedule is the development of Lufthansa Cargo’s six-hub European network comprising Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Brussels, Rome, and the upcoming Zurich hub through enhanced cooperation with SWISS WorldCargo. The integration is expected to improve operational synergies and provide customers with one of Europe’s most extensive cargo networks.
In addition to freighter operations, Lufthansa Cargo customers will also benefit from belly cargo capacity across approximately 7,500 weekly passenger flights operated by airlines within the Lufthansa Group, further enhancing global connectivity and transport flexibility.
