Neptune Pacific has revealed a new Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) surcharge applicable to cargo moving to and from the U.S. West Coast, set to take effect 1 February 2026.

The surcharge applies in both directions for shipments between the U.S. West Coast and Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands. Under the revised tariff structure, the BAF is set at ** USD 478 per TEU** or USD 27.31 per revenue tonne (RVT).

In addition to the BAF, Neptune Pacific confirmed an Emissions Control Charge of USD 25 per TEU will be levied on all cargo moving on the affected trade lane. The carrier also noted that bunker rates for reefer and dry containers will be aligned on this route.

Neptune Pacific advised shippers and stakeholders to contact their local representatives for detailed information and thanked customers for their ongoing support.
