A high-level business delegation from Bahri Line—the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia—called on Smt. J. P. Irene Cynthia, IAS, Chairperson of Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL), on February 11, 2026, to reinforce ongoing collaboration and explore avenues for expanding liner operations at the port.

The delegation, led by Mr. Mohaned Alsheqaiq, Line Vice President of Bahri Line, held detailed discussions with the Chairperson and senior officials of KPL on strengthening service offerings, enhancing operational efficiency, and unlocking new business opportunities.

Bahri Line’s Ro-Con vessels currently make regular monthly calls at KPL’s General Cargo Berths, handling a wide spectrum of cargo, including automobiles, project cargo, cryogenic tanks, and other specialized consignments. The engagement also reviewed performance metrics and identified strategies to boost cargo volumes and improve turnaround efficiency.

Officials from Radiant Maritime India, the local agents for Bahri Line, were present at the meeting, along with senior officers of KPL. The interaction underscored the shared commitment of all stakeholders to strengthen global liner partnerships and position KPL as a preferred gateway for diversified and high-value cargo.

The meeting marks another step forward in fostering resilient maritime partnerships and expanding global trade connectivity through Kamarajar Port.
