The CMA CGM Group today marked a major milestone with the inauguration of the Red Sea Container Terminal (RSCT) in Sokhna, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Egypt’s maritime and logistics sector.

The terminal represents CMA CGM’s third investment in Egypt and a strategic step in the development of the Sokhna–Alexandria Corridor, a key national infrastructure axis linking the Red Sea with Alexandria and the Mediterranean. The project aligns closely with Egypt’s vision to strengthen this corridor as a vital gateway for global trade.

The inauguration follows 18 months of intensive development and collaboration, transforming a strategic vision into a fully operational reality. Through this investment, CMA CGM aims to enhance port efficiency, connectivity, and logistics capabilities across the corridor.

The Group reaffirmed that the RSCT project reflects its strong commitment to supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030, contributing to the country’s ambition to position itself as a leading international logistics and trade platform.

With the launch of the Red Sea Container Terminal, CMA CGM continues to expand its footprint in Egypt, strengthening regional supply chains and reinforcing the country’s role as a critical hub in global maritime trade.
