The Government of Maharashtra signed two major Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with global companies in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his official residence, Varsha, paving the way for investments worth ₹4,080 crore and the creation of nearly 4,750 direct and indirect jobs across the state.
The agreements were signed between the Government of Maharashtra and Jabil, a leading electronics manufacturing services provider, and between the state government and RSA Global.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Fadnavis said the projects would significantly strengthen Maharashtra’s industrial ecosystem by boosting investment, enhancing export capabilities, and developing advanced logistics infrastructure. He added that the initiatives would also accelerate the creation of high-skilled employment opportunities and reinforce Maharashtra’s leadership in the electronics manufacturing and logistics sectors.
Under the agreement with Jabil, the company will establish an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) expansion project in Pune with an investment of ₹1,500 crore. The facility will manufacture 5G equipment and artificial intelligence (AI)-based networking switchgear and is expected to generate around 4,000 direct jobs.
Jabil, which has operated in Maharashtra for over 23 years, currently employs more than 10,000 people in the state. Its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is scheduled to commence operations on June 17, 2026.
In a separate agreement, RSA Logistics and Transportation Pvt. Ltd. will develop a state-of-the-art Ultra Mega Logistics Park within the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority at Uran in Raigad district.
The project, spread across 25 hectares, will attract an investment of ₹2,580 crore and is expected to create approximately 750 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The logistics park will feature advanced infrastructure for container stacking, container washing and cleaning, repair services, and handling and storage of empty containers.
Assuring investors of full support, Chief Minister Fadnavis said the state government remains committed to facilitating industrial growth and creating a business-friendly environment for enterprises expanding in Maharashtra.
