Ocean Alliance has launched its new CBX (China–Baseport Express) service, strengthening direct connectivity between Asia and the U.S. East Coast with a focus on Jacksonville.

The new service is designed to provide faster and more reliable transit times for cargo moving between major Asian export hubs and Jacksonville, a key gateway for trade in the southeastern United States. The CBX loop will enhance supply chain efficiency for shippers handling consumer goods, retail products, and industrial cargo.

Industry sources noted that the introduction of the service reflects growing demand for diversified routing options and improved port connectivity on the U.S. East Coast. Jacksonville’s strategic location and expanding port infrastructure make it an attractive destination for direct Asia services.

The CBX service is expected to call at multiple ports across Asia before transiting to the U.S., offering exporters and importers greater flexibility and improved schedule reliability. It also aims to reduce congestion risks at traditionally busy gateways by providing alternative entry points.

The launch comes as shipping alliances continue to optimize their networks in response to shifting trade patterns, evolving customer needs, and ongoing supply chain adjustments.

With the addition of the CBX service, Ocean Alliance further strengthens its global service portfolio while enhancing connectivity between Asia and emerging U.S. markets.
