United Africa Feeder Lines (UAFL) has secured slots on the China–India Subcontinent (ISC) shipping service, expanding its regional network and enhancing trade connectivity between China and South Asia.
The slots will allow UAFL to transport containerized cargo along the China–ISC route, providing shippers with additional options for reliable transit and improved schedule integrity. The move aligns with UAFL’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in high-demand Asia–South Asia trade lanes.
Industry sources note that securing slots on established services such as China–ISC enables carriers to offer faster delivery times and competitive transit schedules without the need for deploying additional vessels, while also tapping into growing import and export flows between China and the Indian Subcontinent.
UAFL said the new arrangement is part of its ongoing effort to enhance service offerings, improve operational efficiency, and meet increasing demand from shippers for consistent, timely cargo movement.
Analysts expect the carrier’s participation in the China–ISC service to support growth in container volumes and reinforce its presence in a critical trade corridor connecting major manufacturing and consumer markets.
