    Coca-Cola and its bottling partners are expanding one of India’s largest truck fleets with more than 5,000 electric vehicles (EVs) now operating nationwide. The investment aims to boost last-mile distribution, create new jobs, and reinforce the company’s logistics backbone that powers supply chains across urban and rural markets.

    The bottling network ensures Coca-Cola products travel several hundred kilometres daily, supported by thousands of truck drivers who enable deliveries from plants to retail outlets. The latest expansion provides both increased transport capacity and stable employment opportunities, positioning Coca-Cola as a major contributor to India’s logistics workforce.

    Superior Drinks Pvt. Ltd. has added nearly 200 new trucks and EVs this year, enhancing distribution speed and quality. SLMG Beverages has deployed over 3,000 EVs in the past three years, improving delivery reach in rural markets. Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has introduced about 500 EVs across 10 states, strengthening regional efficiency. The collective fleet of Coca-Cola bottlers is expected to grow further in the coming years.

    Alongside logistics growth, the company is prioritising driver welfare through annual road safety training, medical and vision check-ups, and wellness seminars. Regular vehicle assessments are carried out to meet operational standards, with the aim of ensuring safer roads and healthier working conditions for drivers.

    Sundeep Bajoria, Vice President, Coca-Cola India, said the trucking ecosystem is creating livelihoods across states while fuelling local economies. He stressed that as the company scales its distribution, equal focus remains on enabling drivers with safety, skill-building and support.

    Vinay Nair, Chief Commercial Officer, HCCB, highlighted that fleet augmentation improves last-mile deliveries and supports agile, techenabled supply chains. Ashish Sethi, CEO of Superior Drinks Pvt. Ltd., said the expansion is building a delivery powerhouse designed for
    speed, reliability and precision. Rahul Kumar, Deputy CEO of SLMG, added that increasing the EV fleet aligns with the system’s growth objectives and rising consumer demand, particularly in rural markets.

    As Coca-Cola’s products move across the country, each delivery represents not only consumer access but also economic opportunity and livelihood creation. By integrating an expanding workforce with welfare initiatives, the company is strengthening India’s logistics ecosystem while contributing to community wellbeing.
