State-owned logistics major Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals to facilitate the movement of cabotage, domestic and Customs-cleared cargo through rail-based services connecting PSA Mumbai with CONCOR’s nationwide network of Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and domestic terminals.

The agreement aims to strengthen multimodal logistics connectivity between ports and hinterland locations across India by enabling faster and more efficient cargo transportation through integrated rail solutions.

Under the collaboration, CONCOR and PSA Mumbai will jointly work on developing multimodal logistics products designed to improve cargo movement efficiency, enhance hinterland access and support the growing demand for seamless port connectivity.

The MoU was signed on May 15, 2026, in New Delhi in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Swarup, CMD of CONCOR, and Mr. Vincent Ng, Regional CEO, MESAAT, PSA International, along with directors and senior officials from both organisations.

The partnership is expected to further strengthen India’s logistics ecosystem by promoting rail-led cargo evacuation and improving supply chain efficiency between gateway ports and inland consumption centres.
