GAC Group has launched a new less-than-container load (LCL) shipping service connecting Genoa and Jeddah, offering transit times of 10 to 14 days to strengthen Europe–Middle East cargo connectivity.

The direct consolidation service is designed to support faster and more efficient cargo movement for businesses shipping smaller consignments between Italy and Saudi Arabia, reducing dependence on indirect transshipment routes.

GAC said the new service will provide greater schedule reliability, improved supply chain flexibility and cost-effective logistics solutions for customers involved in trade across the Mediterranean and Red Sea regions.

The launch comes amid growing demand for LCL services as importers and exporters seek flexible shipping options to manage inventory, optimise freight costs and navigate ongoing global supply chain disruptions.

The new route also strengthens trade links between Europe and the Gulf region, supporting expanding commercial activity and increasing cargo flows between key manufacturing and consumer markets.
