Taiwanese container carrier Evergreen Marine Corporation has revised several sailings and adjusted vessel routings in response to ongoing disruptions in the Red Sea, as security concerns continue to impact global shipping lanes.

In an advisory to customers, the company said select services transiting between Asia and Europe will be rerouted or subject to schedule changes to safeguard crew, vessels and cargo. Some voyages may divert around the Cape of Good Hope, resulting in longer transit times and potential knock-on delays across connected trade lanes.

The Red Sea route, which connects to the Suez Canal, is a critical artery for global container traffic. Heightened regional tensions have prompted multiple carriers to reassess passage plans, leading to capacity shifts and increased operational costs.

Evergreen indicated it is closely monitoring developments and coordinating with maritime security authorities to ensure safe navigation. Customers have been advised to review updated schedules and anticipate possible adjustments to estimated arrival times.

Industry analysts note that prolonged instability in the corridor could continue to reshape shipping networks, tighten available capacity and exert upward pressure on freight rates in the Asia–Europe trade.
